Check out this weeks episode to hear how Black X-Mas shit on our souls, The Hills Have Eyes performed as well as it could what with the radiation and all, and House of Wax surprises everybody.
Next weeks assignments: Whatever the hell Adam wants! (Seriously, Adam picked all the movies this week and just told us what’s up. Blame him if you don’t like them.)
Adam’s picks: Vampire movies from the ’80′s
Watch along with us if you like and we’ll see you next week.
That’s three pretty solid vampire movies from back in the day, it will be quite interesting to hear if you guys think they still hold up.
I haven’t seen Lost Boys in forever; looking forward to that. I watched Fright Night last year for the first time, and must admit I didn’t love it.
Wow. Great episode, guys. Funny, enlightening, and entertaining. I really want to see two of the three movies, now. (The odd man out being Boner Jams.)
I’m surprised none of you like Supernatural. I’ll try to keep that from giving me sad face.
Looking forward to the next podcast. Death by stereo!!!! I didn’t like Near Dark or Fright Night that much, but it’s been awhile since I’ve seen either. I own Lost Boys for a reason. Interesting Kiefer Sutherland helped ruin Mirrors for you but he improves Lost Boys for me.
Finally, since you mentioned High Tension (fucking great movie) I thought you guys might want to do an all French/European/Foreign theme week sometime.
I can’t really say I don’t like Supernatural, I’ve just never seen it. I think it got lumped in with all the Buffy/Charmed jibes, but I’m still planning on giving it a watch at some point.
I’ve recently seen The Hunger. Must be the 80′s-est vampire movie ever made.
I admit I haven’t watched a lot of Supernatural, it’s just that the little I saw looked like a knock-off of a show I enjoyed (same deal with Stargate series v. Star Trek). Still haven’t found anything that comes close to Buffy/Angel, though maybe what that means is I still haven’t gotten back to being 24 with infinite free time to obsess over a show. I know Ben Edlund was involved with Supernatural, and he was responsible for Angel’s badass final season, so i should probably check it out. Gotta finish all this Doctor Who first, though.
Doctor Who is a worthy past time. Which show do you find Supernatural a knock-off of? I found it to be a kind of off-beat X-Files.
Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law.
unicorns: strange as it may seem, unicorns are part of the christian mythology cycle. there’s a whole thing about the unicorns getting left off of the ark. i forget the details.
so how come nobody’s done the movie where it comes out that their santa is the same person as their satan? i mean, come on, saint nick/old nick? the two names are almost exactly the same? they both wear a lot of red? the whole satan as lord of this world and materialism taking over christianity’s most important holiday?
somebody ought to make that movie. it’d piss people off so much that it’s almost guaranteed to make money.
Love is the law, love under will.
That’s basically the premise of Santa’s Slay, although they take it a little lighter in tone.
