I wonder if the reason 2 outgrossed 1 and 3 is that so many people saw the first movie on video, that more people were excited for 2 coming out, and then after watching it, mostly gave up on the series and didn’t watch 3 in theatres.
3 Grossed 15 mil more than part 2. And only cost 1.5 mil more to make. Top grossers in the series are freddy vs jason, 4, then 3
