Episode 50 – His Name Was Marcus Trollman

Movies discussed: Let The Right One In, Trollhunter, Dead Snow

We watched three pretty solid movies this week with the silly fun of Dead Snow, the folksy charm of Trollhunter and the phenomenal Let The Right One In.

Next weeks assignments: Underrated horror (according to the internet)

Society

The Revenant

The Passion of Darkly Noon

Watch along with us if you like, and we’ll see you next week.

The Passion of Darkly Noon is available as a $1.99 rental from Amazon Streaming: http://www.amazon.com/The-Passion-of-Darkly-Noon/dp/B005ADQG64/ref=tmm_aiv_title_0?ie=UTF8&qid=1375995929&sr=8-1

Society is streaming in its entirety on Youtube. We can’t condone any copyright violation to watch a movie (that is pretty much unavailable anywhere else), but we observe that it’s here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ig_bbzHBkc0

Revenant can be purchased on Vudu (http://www.vudu.com/movies/#!content/360913/The-Revenant) or probably at your local video store. You guys still have a local video store, right?

The Revenant is great, but don’t expect a horror movie. Just enjoy the ride.

  3. I’m actually headed to Sweden later this month, and I’m reliably informed that the remaining three tones on their telephones are “bork” “bork” and “bork”

  4. I really like all these movies. It was cool to get another week of solid movies.
    Dead Snow 8/10
    Troll Hunter 7/10
Let the Right One In 9/10

Someone (Matt or Josh, I don’t remember who) mentioned they wanted to watch Re-Animator. You could do movies from 1985. Re-Animator, Ghoulies and Return of the Living Dead.

  5. Still need to watch Society.. but I love The Revenant (9/10) and did not like The Passion of Darkly Noon(3/10)

  6. If you wanted to do a Lovecraft episode, you could do Re-Animator and the black and white Call of Cthulhu (from the 2000s) on Netflix. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0478988/?ref_=sr_1

I’m not sure what you would do for your third movie since you already did In the Mouth of Madness and Dagon, but I’m sure people can come up with more suggestions.
