  1. Argento’s Dracula was a flop I think. I watched it a few weeks ago when I posted a Dracula theme idea on FB. Kind of sorry I did now. Apollo 18 I could have also done without seeing I think. I got a little bored with it.

  2. Videodrome was pretty good. It was very, very weird seeing James Woods young. I felt like it started to lose the plot in a few spots but not enough to ruin it for me. Some of the effects were pretty damn cool and they hold up pretty well. 6/10

I pegged Street Trash pretty early on as a Troma-like movie. Unfortunately, as you guys stated, it didn’t have the Troma charm to it. It was overall just pretty painful to sit through. There were a couple of moments that made me laugh but that’s it. 2/10

The Fly is a movie I hadn’t seen for almost a decade. After seeing it for this assignment I felt bad for waiting so long to see it again. Jeff Goldblum is so damn good. I was really impressed with how smart it was. Everything about it just made sense for what it was. This movie actually made me watch Transylvania 6-5000 for the first time because I needed more Goldblum. 7.5/10

As a future idea for a film, here’s an Alison Brie one I hadn’t heard of, Born:

Can’t get it on netflix, so no idea if it’s good. 3.5 rating overall, but the reviews seem split, so it sounds like there’s hope for it.

  4. Huh. I’m going to have to check out The Fly now. I always assumed it was some cheesy 80’s horror movie starring Jeff Goldblum.
